You snooze you loose with news...

I HAVE AN APARTMENT!!!!!!!!!! AND it's official!!! Well it's in Sherman Oaks, which is in San Fernando Valley (that's near N. Hollywood and Burbank), which is great! It's not exactly in West LA where I wanted initially, but it'll work. The rent is 1175, so only around 580 a month with some utilities included. Most of the places we were looking at in W. L.A. and W.Hollywood were like 650-750 (on the cheap end), so I'm excited. Now, obviously I haven't seen it yet seeing how I am still in 'bama, but I trust Meg and clearly I really don't care. If it's a place without the floor missing I'm happy. She says it's nice and cute and it's in a safe/quiet neighborhood...so we'll see. I'll send off some pictures when I get there (CAN YOU DO THAT ON THIS MARY ELLEN????? I'm gonna need for you to KNOW!)!!!!!!!!!! Anyhow, now we focus from the apt search to the j.o.b. I'll have more details on that soon. AND on the car situation. I LEAVE TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holla back! or just Holla...maybe holla front! WOOOHOOOP WOOOOOOOOOTIE WOOO HOO!

Ok, I'm done now....Mir

TOUCH A TRUCK

OK, let me tell you about the event I worked today. It's actually kinda cute, in theory, but I feel like a total dumbass when I say it.

It's called "Touch A Truck."

That's right, touch a truck. The event is designed for little kids to come and see like..um...trucks, and it's really cute because the kids get EXTREMELY excited but really? Touch a Truck? My dad thinks it's hilarious and asks me about it like every 5 minutes just so he can say the name and try to get me to say it. SO anyway. We show up for work this morning and it's just raiiiining. And all these little kids are running around in their slickers and honking horns and crap and just having the TIME of their little lives, and their parents are just trailing after them, carrying like wet shoes and coats and these goddamn free coloring books that I kept trying to get rid of. It was cute. But wet. THEN it cleared up and just got real hot. So basically, the day was a loss.

However, in other news, one of the community service guys working was this total baddass from high school and he TOTALLY remembered who I was. In a class of over 400, that's impressive, since clearly I was NOT one of the badasses (but I have cultivated my badass streak since then. Maybe he sensed that).

WHOA...I never thought that I would see the day where i would be blogging! This is almost too much for my old, out-of-date mind to handle. I am so honored to be a part of this little group though that I will stretch the boundaries of my fragile existence and try this new thing called blogging that all you kids are doing these days. I hope you guys are doing really well and I look forward to experiencing this new adventure with all of you! HAHAHA.

GETTING WITH THE BLOG.

Ok, guys, this morning I had a stroke of genius. I realized to myself that we are all FINALLY separated and that a blog actually makes sense. We can post crap here about our lives and you know what? It won't be something that you already knew because you were there with me this morning when it happened. So guys...get on the blog.
